About this time of the year in Florida, the heat is something we battle at every market event, and sometimes our little creations lose the fight. We will be ending our event season in April, but before we do that, we have 2 amazing local Tampa events. Go out with a bang, right?!
First will be one of our favorite events, the Tampa Chillounge. On Saturday, April 5th, 2014 from 7pm until midnight, we will be passing out complimentary mini cupcakes in the VIP section.
Curtis Hixon Park will once again transform into a magnificent outdoor lounge area with beautiful one of a kind furniture. Come and experience the ultimate outdoor lounge party.
What flavors will we have you ask? We will be featuring samples of our:
Drunk Bride – Vanilla almond cake, vanilla italian meringue buttercream, with whipped cream vodka added into the frosting. A flirty twist on a wedding cake combination.
S’More – Chocolate cake with graham cracker bottom, marshmallow frosting, topped with graham cracker dust.
Key Lime – Key lime cake, topped with a key lime cream cheese buttercream. A refreshing and sweet taste.
Blackberry Wine – Handcrafted blackberry wine preserve (made with blackberries and blackberry wine!) in the cake and buttercream. Quite the decadent treat.
The second event is the 5th Annual Eco-Fest! EcoFest will be held on Saturday, April 12th at the Lowry Park bandshell area – 7525 N. Boulevard, Tampa, Florida 33604. The event will be open to the public from 10:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. Admission to the event is free.
EcoFest 2014 is a community event organized by Learning Gate Community School, the City of Tampa and the USF Patel College of Global Sustainability to celebrate the many businesses, organizations, and individuals in the Tampa Bay area dedicated to the principles of sustainability – Ecology, Equity and Economy.
The flavors we will have for this event are:
Strawberry Balsamic – Strawberry vanilla cake, with strawberry buttercream and filling, lightly drizzled with balsamic vinegar. A very tasty twist on a classic.
Vegan Double Chocolate – Our chocolate cake, topped with a chocolate vegan buttercream.
Breakfast – Blueberry pancake cake, topped with a maple buttercream and a tiny donut!
Cookie Dough – Brown sugar cake, with a chocolate chip cookie dough ball inside, topped with raw (and safe) cookie dough buttercream. Quite a crowd favorite!
We will also be offering Angel Food slices with a side of berry compote. The angel food recipe we will be using will be Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Yeast-Free, Soy-Free, Corn-Free, Nut-Free. It will contain: egg whites, potato starch, arrowroot flour, granulated sugar, salt, cream of tartar, and vanilla. Only berries and minimal sugar will be used for the compote.
