Dilemma: Leftover Frosting!

9c5c3100945c11e3a1e80a50b3739fdc_8While some may say a bowl of leftover frosting is *NOT* a problem, when you bake cupcakes on a pretty regular basis, you’re bound to be in frosting overload.

While sitting down to a rom-com movie with a spoon and a bowl of frosting does sound like a winning combination, what if you want to share your overabundance or save it for later?

Don’t toss that buttercream! It will remain good in the refrigerator for 4-5 days. Alternatively, put it in an airtight container and freeze it up to 3 months. When ready to use again, take out of the freezer and place in the refrigerator overnight to thaw. Before you use it again, let the buttercream come to room temperature and give it a good stir before piling it on. (Thanks http://www.thekitchn.com)
